How does the system monitoring work on the inverter?
Most inverters come with some level of system monitoring but many options exist for more sophisticated and convenient monitoring.
The most straight forward way to monitor your system performance is to go to your inverter and check the monitor screen Depending on brand, most inverters show you easily how much electricity the solar system generates right now and how much it has already generated on this day. It is good practice to monitor the solar system periodically, as it will alert you if there is a fault.
Please ask your installer to show you how to monitor the inverter as part of the system handover. Make notes and you can also read the inverter manual for more detailed monitoring options.
