What happens with my solar system at night, in cloudy weather or during rain?
Although solar panels still produce electricity in cloudy or hazzy conditions, the clearer the sky the better the energy production will be. On the other hand temperatures over 25 degrees celsius can reduce the output of a solar system.
As a rule of thumb, on a cloudy, and very overcast day a solar system will produce around 25% to 45% of the energy it would produce under ideal conditions. The system will still produce some electricity during rain, but again the output of the solar system will be reduced. During the night the system automatically switches off.
